Flood Crisis is an ongoing documentary photography project examining the recurring impact of floods on communities across Bangladesh. Created through fieldwork between 2022-2026 and continuing today, the series combines aerial perspectives with intimate human stories to reveal the scale and personal consequences of flooding. Submerged villages, damaged homes and infrastructure, displaced families, flooded markets and overcrowded shelters illustrate how quickly ordinary life can be disrupted. The project pays particular attention to vulnerable communities who face greater difficulties accessing food, clean drinking water, sanitation and safe shelter during prolonged flooding. Beyond documenting destruction, the photographs explore how people adapt, rebuild and continue their daily lives despite repeated cycles of loss. By connecting the broader landscape of climate vulnerability with individual experiences, Flood Crisis serves as a visual record of Bangladesh’s recurring disasters while highlighting the resilience, dignity and perseverance of communities living on the front lines of a changing climate.
